angielski Marika Rökk's second color film ended her illustrious Reich career, only to pick up again in the late 1940s. The Woman of My Dreams is a magnificently-told story about a revue star with great humor and many perfect musical numbers. The comparison with contemporary Hollywood is also not odd because given what only Marika Rökk was able to personify with her versatility in every way, in America they had three or more actresses that were able to do that, albeit in a ratio of one per film. She has been described as a combination of Ruby Keeler, Jeanette McDonald, Ginger Rogers, and Eleanor Powell. Yet could they play the harmonica, refresh the comedy with slapstick, sing, and dance in all variations from ballet to tap? I think not. ()
