When a little girl wants to pursue her dream, she is capable of achieving anything, even winning a race dominated by men. Perhaps it is slightly naive, but thanks to the youthful Elizabeth and the excellent Mickey Rooney, this mostly family-friendly movie with dramatic elements is quite bearable and not unpleasant.
