angielski With his two previous feature films, George Clooney set the bar so high that he created great expectations which Leatherheads didn't quite fulfill. It's definitely not a bad movie, but this romantic comedy set in the world of sports certainly did not have the ambition to try for an Oscar or change the perspective on cinema. There are a few sports that I don't particularly enjoy, such as boxing or American football, but fortunately, the American football setting serves as a background for the conversational shootouts between George Clooney and Renée Zellweger, which significantly contribute to the film. It's a good relaxation film with a solid cast and some decent jokes. Overall impression: 60%. ()

angielski Leatherheads pleased me in just about every way. George Clooney directs as well as acts (with ease, likability and a rare perfect sense of humor), the other perfectly chosen actors complement him well, the story has a great period atmosphere supported by Randy Newman's soundtrack, the script is sweet and sophisticated in every aspect and the biting dialogue between Dodge and Lexie is not to be missed... A cool, friendly film that can't offend, but can excite quite easily. ()

angielski Tastefully and enjoyably shot retro. Although the sports side gets quite a bit of space here, there is still room for romance. There are also plenty of humorous situations. By the way, I've never found Renée Zellweger a pretty woman, but she looks surprisingly pretty here :), her character has panache and makes a more than worthy second to the immensely likable Clooney. -Stop, or I'll shoot! -He said he'll shoot! -They always say that! -You said he always says that! -He does. Just before he shoots! ()
