The film definitely cannot be taken that it tries to confuse the viewer. It is sometimes absurd, sometimes very crazy, a little stylized like "Sucker Punch", but definitely not as easily readable. Yes, it's weird, no doubt about it, but I have to say that I simply liked this sometimes "cool" slow-motion oddity. This is probably what it would look like if Americans tried to freely translate something that originally originated in Japan. Original, weird, not always consistent, but definitely worth at least one viewing.
