angielski "They bring me soup by steamer all the way from Paris. I'll lift the lid... And it's still wet!" This production might proclaim through a caption at the beginning that it was written based on a true story. Gogol wrote the play (still relevant 175 years later) based on a real experience of his friend Pushkin, who once, on a visit to a similar unnamed town, was said to have found himself in a situation almost identical to that of Chlestakov. It is a pity that it is not known how much money Pushkin borrowed at the time during his "revision". It could be taught in schools. Regarding the production: Jiří Kodet is irresistible as Chlestakov, Pavel Landovský as well, everything is perfect, BUT: I watched the DVD without looking at the cast of all the smaller and small roles - and that's why I didn't come out of the first hour amazed. František Husák, Jiří Hrzán, Petr Čepek (a real mini-role, but so cute), Miloslav Štibich, Helena Růžičková... That's what I call a cast! Five stars. ()
