When Joy (Joely Fisher) gets frustrated with Eddie's (Brad Garrett) inability to show emotion, Kenny (J.B. Smoove) and Jeff (Eddie Kaye Thomas) unsuccessfully try to get him to turn on the water works. As a last resort, Joy and Eddie attend an "intimacy workshop" for couples led by the "living, loving and sharing" Dr. Friedman (guest star Wendie Malick).
