Vide pour l'amour

Jayasundara's first colour film, prefiguring his next features. It is composed of powerful scenes from the lives of several nameless characters, which contain remarkably long takes, minimalistic dialogues and open eroticism. The film was shot in France, which is why there are Sri Lankan and French sequences mingling in the sound of scooters and tuk-tuks, exposing the beastly nature of human existence.
