Opisy(1)

Bohaterem filmu jest sfrustrowany urzędnik bankowy - introwertyk, który na większość propozycji odpowiada nieodmiennie "nie". angielski Although the rubber in Carrey’s face has grown a bit stiff after all these years, but luckily that isn’t what Yes Man is founded on. Reed shot a clean, mainstream non-crude comedy, while giving it something we haven’t seen for a long time. Wit and an incredible central pair. The chemistry between Carrey and Zooey is great that I hope that I see those two on the silver screen again. Ideally in something by Gondry. But the main thing is that I enjoyed myself immensely and if it weren’t for the rather slow introduction and rather awkward singing scenes on the parapet which is more than made up for with the Harry Potter party scene, I would have gone even higher with the score. And if Jim plans on earning his bread and butter with his artsy money-makers, then I can say just one thing: Damn it, man; go for it! ()

angielski One of the better romantic comedies of today, which heavily relies on its main protagonist, Jim Carrey, who is the main attraction, and because of him, I give Yes Man four stars in the end. Zooey Deschanel also performs solidly, but she merely plays second fiddle to the main hero. Jim Carrey is a well-known eccentric comedian, but here the film's humor works precisely because Carrey balances on the edge between exaggeration and overacting. The movie mocks various courses that aim to improve one's personality through psychological methods. Jim Carrey has become an ungrateful bogeyman and, at the advice of a friend, tries to open himself up to the world. However, it has its consequences... Overall impression: 70%. ()

angielski Too optimistic for my taste, but I had quite a lot of fun watching. And Zooey Deschanel is incredibly cute. Oh, and Carrey is getting on a bit now; you can see it more on his rubber mug more than on ordinary ones. ()

angielski A good comedy - predictable, but with a great idea, nice and enjoyable to watch in general. Jim Carrey and Zooey Deschanel were good together, and I was also pleased with Terence Stamp. Three and a half. ()

angielski I like Jim Carrey and his rubber face a lot, but unfortunately this was nothing more than an ordinary and generic American film unable make good use of either the original premise or Carrey's comedy. It was a lot of fun, though, and it ends very quickly, but I still left the TV with an irrevocable feeling of emptiness, that those 100 minutes could have been spent in a much better way. Apart from the great Jim, thumbs up for Zooey Deschanel and the original idea, which was greatly marred by a contrived and incredibly clichéd romantic interlude. Maybe if the creators had just stuck to the fun and had left out the declarations of love, my rating would have been significantly higher. This way is worth 3 1/2*. ()

angielski I had a good time watching this film even the second time around. What I like about it is that it’s one of Jim Carrey's films that isn't based on his goofing around. It had a decent cast, and even though it's a romantic comedy, which means the ending is obvious from the start, I enjoyed watching how the story would get to its expected conclusion. As I said, I had fun, Zooey Deschanel looked amazing as usual, so 4 stars it is. ()

angielski Jim Carrey is simply an actor whose films I enjoy watching. It doesn't matter if it's his classic comedies, newer comedies, or more serious films, this person always manages to captivate me. The same goes for the film "Yes Man". It entertained me, no matter what you say. Jim simply has a natural talent for comedy, and when he can occasionally pull off a face like he used to, I just eat it up. Granted, I would still say that the story's potential was not fully realized, there could have been many more funny scenes, many more gags, but still, it manages to really stir things up in some places. Imagine a person who is negative about life. He is not naturally like that, but marriage, or rather divorce, directed him towards the realm of negative thinking. He refuses to go anywhere with friends, he doesn't want to please anyone simply because he doesn't want to create problems. It's as if he wants to be trapped in a dead end and ultimately die there. But there is a fateful encounter with an old acquaintance who recommends the "Yes Man" courses to him. At the course, he learns that it is better to say yes to everything. One could expect that a lot of jokes would stem from this fact, but as I said, it's not packed with gags. However, Jim Carrey doesn't disappoint, and when given the opportunity, he still manages to pull it off brilliantly. He is wonderfully supported by Zooey Deschanel, who is beautiful and funny. They fit together perfectly, which is the right chemistry for a film that is sometimes too cliché and doesn't try to invent anything. It's actually a romantic comedy, where there has to be a twist, where it seems like those two cannot get together, but in the end, they still do. If it weren't for the well-chosen actors and the interesting plot around the word "yes," the film would not even reach an average rating.
