On stage, Anne shines in her next character part, but her private life looks less prosperous. She is in heavy weather financially, and she has a hard time getting older and stomaching her ex-husband's relationship with a perfect young woman. Will Anne have to sell her houseboat that holds tons of personal memories? A new, dull accountant tries to straighten out her bookkeeping. He gets fascinated with Anne's free attitude to life and in turn she feels a certain appreciation for him. For both people, the confrontation eventually has positive repercussions on their bogged down lives. Tiramisu is a subtle tragicomedy, driven by the actors' performances. The soft clash between the bookkeeper and the actress is represented in sharp detail. The film is a plea against narrow prejudice, without lapsing into clichés or mawkishness.
