After the death of his golf-enthusiast father, Honza grows up with his mother and little brother Lukáš. As they struggle to come to terms with the father’s death, they also find themselves in dire straits. And just when Honza learns he has been accepted to university, the bank places a lien on their assets. Honza takes the situation by the horns, and instead of taking a vacation with his girlfriend Terezka, he accepts a summer job at a luxury hotel in Karlovy Vary, where his great uncle Maxmilián works. Honza works hard night and day. In order to sweeten up his life at least a little, his uncle decides to get him back into playing golf, which he used to play with his father when he was a boy. Honza proves to be an adept player, and his coach decides to prepare him for a tournament. A week later, Honza enters his first tournament, and – to everyone’s surprise – wins. After a boozy celebration, he awakens the next day to a hangover and an unexpected but gorgeous bedmate – Alice.
When she offers him an advertising contract that would help resolve his family’s woes, he agrees. He excels at his job and at golf, but the job soon starts to take up all his free time.
