This seems like Hong Kong’s peculiar answer to Hollywood’s comic book movies of the nineties. It contains classic props and Batman parallels. The fights are hard and the surroundings interesting. Weak dramaturgy, editing all over the place, but the nearer it got to the ending, the less it mattered. Jet Li gives a classic performance. A chilled B-movie where CDs are lethal weapons. Old school. Maybe I’ll learn to cook.
