Ticho nad oblakmi

Those 65 minutes seemed like half an hour. Silence Above the Clouds is a meditative excursion to another world, a world of clouds caressing the peaks of Slovakia’s highest mountains. Maok’s pleasant music accompanies natural phenomena that are sometimes more beautiful (the interplay of the sun, mountains and clouds) than what you have seen in world-class National Geographic or BBC documentaries. I was expecting something to kill time with and what I got was a valuable film experience. Only the division of the film into thematic chapters was perhaps unnecessary. (31.03.2010)
