Skyline

Zwiastun 1

Opisy(1)

Jarrod (Eric Balfour) i Elaine (Scottie Thompson) dzień wcześniej wyruszyli do LA na urodziny najlepszego przyjaciela Jarroda, Terry’ego (Donald Faison). (Vision)

angielski The ten-year old kid in me, who wants to see lots of alien monsters in a movie, roared with pleasure at Skyline. As a fan of serious science fiction, however, I considered suicide. This is awfully written and acted, but I had a little more fun than with the second Alien vs Predator… if only because the monsters are seen often and well. 5/10 ()

angielski Science fiction from the 1950s with all the trimmings. There are plenty of overgrown aliens destroying everything that comes under their tentacles, especially with incredibly stupid characters. All but one of them think like the inmates of a diagnostic institute, so it has an almost slapstick feel at times. AVP II was no coincidence and the Strause brothers are not good storytellers, and while they try awfully hard, their results work for about the length of the trailer (or before that a music video or commercial). angielski Tough coolness. The primate of the film consists of the fact that he was written by a primate. Or two primates. In any case, the inability to make something as simple and archetypal as a film about an alien invasion borders on cinematic imbecility. In Skyline, nothing succeeds, except for about two very comic moments (it's hard to judge whether intentionally) - I'd like to apply a unifying interpretation to this film, but it's in a state of absolute chaos. Objectively, one of the worst genres films I've ever seen. ()

angielski Only some of the effects are worth praising. The acting is very, very weak and the plot is primitive. What grated on my nerves the most was the stupid dialogue and actions of the characters. It lacked any logical explanation and perhaps the very reason for its creation. Well, I definitely won't watch the second one. Pointless… 1.5 stars. ()

angielski It wants to be loud sci-fi with a monumental expedition, but this impression lasts for about the first 20 minutes. Afterwards, you realizes the unenviable fact that the whole script, and therefore the entire plot, takes place in one house, and the characters develop at the speed of a snail. There aren't many effects – not surprising considering the very small budget. And just when it all starts to become inventive and clichés recede, the film ends. On purpose? A very unsuccessful attempt to achieve more with less. ()

angielski This is an incredibly stupid movie. Seriously, I could say that Skyline is boring, tedious and about nothing, but the word "stupid" says it all. Starting with the non-acting performances of more or less everyone who appeared on screen, and ending with the rip-off direction and script written by children in a special kindergarten. I give one star for the quite sympathetic appearance of the aliens and for the final battle scene, which was everything the previous hour and a half lacked. Except for acting.__P.S. What was this doing in theaters? ()

angielski At first glance, the film feels like a low-budget sci-fi with pretty bad acting, but it turns out that really only the acting performances are an issue, because as a sci-fi it works quite well given that there are quite a few scenes where something appears, and the CGI quality is surprisingly high.
