Beautiful, troubled Dominique Marceau (Brigitte Bardot) came to bohemian Paris to escape the suffocation of provincial life, only to wind up in a courtroom, accused of a terrible crime: the murder of her lover (Sami Frey). Legendary Henri-Georges Clouzot received from BB probably the best in every sense. She is beautiful in this film, but furthermore, she plays exceptionally well. In addition, there is a strong, dramatic story that can move you. An excellent example of how truth can truly be diverse depending on how you look at it.
