Treme – kolebka jazzu i jedna z najstarszych dzielnic Nowego Orleanu, zawsze była centrum kulturalnego życia miasta. Po przejściu huraganu Katrina w 2005 roku została niemal całkowicie zniszczona. Pozbawieni dachu nad głową mieszkańcy próbują ją odbudować. Trzy lata po katastrofie ich sytuacja wcale nie jest łatwiejsza niż na początku. Wybór na prezydenta USA Baracka Obamy pomaga im odzyskać wiarę w lepsze jutro. Pytanie jednak, czy ich nadmiernie rozbudzone nadzieje nie okażą się mrzonką. (HBO)
