Para nowożeńców przybywa do hoteliku na południowym wybrzeżu Anglii, by spędzić tam noc poślubną. Florence i Edward pochodzą z zupełnie różnych światów. Ona jest córką biznesmena i utalentowaną skrzypaczką, on studentem historii, skorym do nagłych wybuchów gniewu. (M2 Films)

A wonderfully acted dissection of two young souls in love – in terms of their fears, prejudices, anxieties. I certainly don't think you need to know the historical context to understand the story, because some things simply haven't changed. I liked it when the script stuck to hints and didn't have to clearly explain and elaborate everything, but I was disappointed by the two time jumps that veered away from the clever, bitter romance to the most clichéd of clichés.
