Children of God is the story of two individuals who learn that in order to live a truly happy life you have to risk speaking and acting on your true feelings. Set against the backdrop of a nation grappling with violent homophobia, this film tells the story of Johnny, a gay white Bahamian artist who faces the loss of his scholarship at a local university and Lena a conservative religious woman who is struggling with a crumbling marriage. Both escape city life in Nassau to the dramatic island of Eleuthera where their worlds collide in a fashion that will surprise audiences. (Madrid International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival)

angielski The Bahamas did quite a good job tackling the issue of gay love. Not only is the movie a decently performed drama, but there are a number of quite good film shots that are supported by the Bahamian locations. It’s pretty good for a first encounter with the local cinematography. You can see that orthodox faith is equally dangerous all around the world. ()
