Opisy(1)

This incredible story charts the challenges facing polar bears and their cubs during their first summer. As they emerge from their den on a remote Norwegian island, the polar bear families are followed by a new generation of covert devices - Blizzard-cam, Snowball-cam and Iceberg-cam. Backed up by Snowcam and Driftcam these state of-the-art camouflaged cameras reveal the extraordinary curiosity and intelligence of the polar bear. Capturing an intimate portrait of polar bears' lives, this two-part series reveals how their intelligence and curiosity help them to survive in a world of shrinking ice. angielski This could have been an excellent one-part documentary. But this is a two-parter and so the viewer assumes the role of editor, pecking out the wheat from the chaff in terms of interest value. It often seems more like a documentary about special cameras than a documentary about the hitherto unseen life of polar bears. And I bet that the word camera is uttered far more frequently than the word bear. On the other hand, when it’s interesting, it’s really interesting. ()
