Pielęgniarka, sanitariusz, gimnastyczka i jej trener tworzą grupę, która świadczy wyjątkowe usługi. Za pieniądze zastępują zmarłych ludzi, ucząc się ich zachowań, przyzwyczajeń i ról, które kiedyś odgrywali. Pomagając innym po stracie najbliższych, sami znajdują się w sytuacjach, których nie da się do końca przewidzieć. Wynajęci przez rodzinę, krewnych lub kolegów zmarłych starają się jak najlepiej zapełnić pustkę po tych, którzy odeszli. (Against Gravity)

Yorgos Lanthimos certainly brings a certain refreshment to world cinema with his work. His films by no means suffer from a lack of originality, but they sometimes find their way to the viewer in a rather convoluted way. That's exactly how I feel about Alps. The theme is very novel, inviting us to think about how we actually live, and what is important to us... The reporting itself, however, did not quite sit right with me. Maybe because for a long time I was unable to understand what it was all about. I was also quite irritated by the machine-learned dialogue when trying to identify with a recently deceased person. I'm leaning toward three stars for the film’s imaginative nature, although I had originally intended to only give two. (55%)

Another very weird film (see the previous one by the director, Dogtooth), but this time, unfortunately, in an utterly uninteresting way.
