Pani do towarzystwa

The Italians are crazy. Because I can’t even count how many times I’ve seen a comedy with one crazy actor next to another. But they always set it up with some brutal atmosphere only to cut it short with some romantic crap that pushes the entire atmosphere off a cliff. And this movie was no exception. The scenes about soccer rivalry between S.S. Lazio and A.S. Roma were priceless. With a gang like that, I probably wouldn’t survive it if my son became a Lazio fan. They’d probably kick my butt and I’m sure they’d spit on me, too. But as the movie started getting good, the Italians cut it off in the second half, especially when it comes to the last half an hour. It’s almost as if they realized that the movie has to have a point and so they immediately stuffed some romance in it. Suddenly, all of the crazy mess and all the fun that came with it was gone and the movie became a first-degree gooey romantic flick. (22.03.2014)
