Lots of hiding, intrigue, plans, clever dialogue, and the reliable David Tennant. And yet even he can't hide the fact that these spies forgot to be entertaining. The whole time, I had this feeling that I was waiting for something more significant, because every action-packed or suspenseful scene was cut off right at the beginning. The last half-hour at least brings enough emotion that I can't dismiss Colonel Mercier's story as just dragged-out boredom, but I remain disappointed nonetheless.
