Christine codziennie budzi się, nie pamiętając, kim jest, i nie potrafiąc przypomnieć sobie żadnych faktów z przeszłości. Będąca efektem wypadku sprzed lat amnezja sprawia, że jest uzależniona od otaczającego ją troską męża. W celu uporządkowania rzeczywistości prowadzi pamiętnik, w którym opisuje otaczający ją świat. Gdy jej zapiski zaczynają coraz bardziej odbiegać od tego, co słyszy od współmałżonka, postanawia za wszelką cenę odkryć prawdę o swojej przeszłości. (Monolith)

Definitely an interesting subject for a question-packed thriller that entertains the viewer by gradually revealing a hazy truth. However, the film’s plot is a bit awkward and shaky with respect to logic and probability. After half an hour – thanks again to the super-precise Nicole – you get used to it and accept the screenwriter’s game, which over time gives the events meaning and surprises the audience with a good point. Unfortunately, however, the aftertaste of embarrassed incredulity from the opening remains. That’s not how the dialogue of the given people in the given situations would have happened. Rather, it was written to draw viewers into the plot, relying on them not to notice or to throw their hands up at its unnaturalness.

The new pairing of Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth was already proven to work in The Railway Man. And this is their second project together. It’s a nice intimate thriller with an interesting denouement. Sometimes less is more. I look forward to seeing them next alongside Law in Genius.

It looked quite interesting, but the movie just couldn't captivate me. There's the uncertainty of whether it's really him, there's one good, horror scene, but that's pretty much it, and the potential of all three main actors wasn't fully utilized, especially not Colin Firth, whose character could have been even darker.
