G.B.F. combines a generic American teen comedy about high schoolers and tries to spice it up with a seemingly interesting theme around the main character. The beginning was a bit bizarre, but thankfully things pick up a bit and I have to say that some of the scenes and ideas really amused me. The funniest roles were played by Andrea Bowen as the Mormon girl, Natasha Lyonne as the cat lover, and Evanna Lynch as a Christian fanatic. Overall, it’s incredibly goofy at times, but I liked that they didn't stick to the stale coming-out clichés this time.
