In this thrilling adaptation of the 2011 crossover comic book, time travel allows a past wrong to be righted for The Flash and his family, but the event's temporal ripples prove disastrous, creating a fractured, alternate reality in which the Justice League was never formed and Superman is nowhere to be found. Amidst a new world being ravaged by a fierce war between Wonder Woman's Amazons and Aquaman's Atlanteans, The Flash must team with a grittier, more violent Batman and government agent Cyborg to restore the continuity of Flash's original timeline. angielski This suffers from the all too familiar DC “crossover" encounters that have no idea of what good taste is. This almost ruined the feisty son and this is even worse. Instead of focusing on a just few characters, this is a procession of one big name after another. Not that they have any task to perform, but simply so that they can appear, have their twenty seconds of fame and geeks can strike them off their wet dream “this one versus that one" bucket list. So although you get to see no end of DC characters, but this list of names is so long that it doesn’t even get to the main ones who we are most interested in. Which is a shame because the adult nature of the subject matter has huge potential and mainly does no end of good for Flash the character. ()

angielski I was lucky enough to read this story as a comic. And as it turned out, it was transferred to the animated film almost exactly as it was written and drawn in the comic. In addition, this has a bit of a manga look, so it can also say something to those who may not necessarily like the classic mainstream. Considering that it's an alternative universe, or rather an adjusted reality, the story is a bit rougher than in the classic presentation of the mainstream superhero trend. Thanks to that, the film can also excite those who don't like superheroes or wish them dead. Some of them will have their wish granted. But other than that, it's not fundamentally twisted. Everything will be fixed anyway. ()

angielski The New Frontier was decent (and had Lucy Lawless), Crisis on Two Earths rushed in with a good bunch of bad guys, Doom was perfectly cool, and finally, The Flashpoint Paradox is epic. Barry Allen's longing for his prematurely deceased mother has opened the gates of hell, which is somewhat reminiscent of Clive Baker's better days, and so it should be. There’s no Batman, Cyborg isn't up to it, the biggest villains are Emperor Aquaman and the cruel ruler Wonder Woman, whose union is a deadly poison for the entire world. Say Shazam! and look at that beauty again and again and again and never tire of it. ()
