"The Pact II" is a film that doesn't even deserve to be a sequel, not only because it could work as a standalone movie, but also because there is not much continuity here that really matters. The main issue is that there is a mystery, there is a killer, but it's not filmed as a classic slasher, and there are dark supernatural elements trying to revive the film. Surprisingly, they don't succeed at all.

I don’t think the problem with this film is the competence of the director (the film is quite skilfully made), but rather the utter pointlessness of it as a whole. The first one was a straightforward horror snack that certainly didn’t need a sequel. This one stretches things brutally and it can be seen.
