Richard: The Lionheart

No, it can be seen that there wasn't much money to give away, but the boys and girls tried a bit. It seems to be an amateur attempt, or at least it has that look. The fact that we won't see nudity here is sometimes unreal (when we do see a nipple, it's like a celebration of the assumption into heaven), the violence is rather provincial too. The story itself doesn't have much power, it doesn't matter if it takes place with historical characters or if it's all fiction. This simply isn't great art, it's just an effort to make a film. Effort counts, but it still doesn't reach average. How much did Malcolm get? Or did he support the filmmakers for free? (10.11.2013)
