It surprised me when I found out that this is actually a funny comedy that makes fun of the noir genre, bringing it into the present day while still following the basic genre rules, even if they are turned upside down. The main protagonist is a fool, but entertaining, Amy Smart fits into it well, and there are also some good supporting characters here and there. A pleasant surprise.
