My Class is the story of an experienced Italian language teacher and his pupils, immigrants who are trying to get their residency permits in Italy and hope that knowledge of the language will help them get a better job. Refugees from around the world tell their stories of fear and the horrors of war, but also reveal their humble dreams of a better life in Italy. Daniel Gaglianone mixes elements of both feature and documentary film styles, not only filming his staff but also featuring these refugees and their actual fates. (Days of European Film)
