angielski Let's be honest, this movie caught my attention mainly because it even attempted something like this. It's a story of a soldier trying to survive in the jungle, but his pace is unbelievably slow; it's essentially a movie without action, which is very surprising considering the topic. However, it's precisely because of that that the film is so interesting and different. Additionally, it's almost without words. It's truly an experiment in today's time. And it's not that bad. ()

angielski A minimalistic movie from a war setting probably doesn’t get filmed every day. The lack of dialogues is made up for by an atmosphere that is thicker than maple syrup. Canopy is a movie about an American soldier whose plane crashes in the middle of a jungle. He doesn’t know where he is, where the enemy is and the only thing going through his mind is that he wants to survive. The 80 minutes of this movie made me bate my breath and just stare at the jungle that I’ve never felt closer to. Three stars are relative; the movie isn’t bad at all, but it’s just a simple small-scale movie. If you swapped the war, the soldier and the environment for anything else, it’d end up looking the same. ()
