Puck and Einar have been married for two months when they decide to spend the last weeks of their vacation in Einar's idyllic childhood town Skoga accompanied by Puck's father, who is a professor in Egyptology, and the cat Thotmes III. But after the first night, the idyll crumbles. Puck's father finds a dead body on the lawn, a young man stabbed to death by an Egyptian dagger that the professor himself has brought with him.
