Tragedy hits a town nestled in the Appalachian Mountains when a mine collapses killing 10 of its workers. Some accidents are big, some small. In this case, it's just a mistake. It's like if Americans finally realized that there was neorealism here and now they're trying to adapt it for the modern viewer in color. A boring film with boring characters, which thinks it will have a really powerful impact. It doesn't.
