A variation on the first film in the history of cinema, the Lumière brothers' 50-second shot of workers leaving a factory. Fourteen workers move along a factory's corridors. Their direction of motion and the image's manipulation towards an abstract choreography of contours combine to create an uneasy and metaphorical picture of contemporary industry.
