One child, no husband, no money and lots of unfulfilled dreams: Single moms Elma and Natalie both have different strategies for coping. While Elma is in search for the love of her life, Natalie will settle for a hot fling. Their other female friends fare no better: Marion is stuck in the suburbs with three kids, a fourth on the way, and an abusive husband, while Lotti makes her living as a nanny between booze and cigarettes. All four women's lives are turned upside down when handsome single-dad Jakob moves into the neighbourhood with his daughter. The women all agree that a single father needs their help, and lots of it.
