Young Molly Moon resides in an orphanage outside London, where she is constantly getting into trouble with the unlikeable headmistress Miss Adderstone. After discovering a book on hypnotism at the library, Molly practices it daily, and soon uses her newfound talents to distract Miss Adderstone so that she can escape from the orphanage to go after her recently adopted best friend, Rocky. However, Molly gets sidetracked from her quest when she discovers that her abilities can help her pursue her dreams of showbiz stardom; and meanwhile, a sinister crook is intent on using Molly's powers to rob the largest bank in London! I expected it to be more interesting, more fantasy-like, and overall more touching, but it's just average, leaning towards below average for me, as it's not really that entertaining. Famous and interesting actors have minimal space here, and the main protagonist simply can't handle it on her own. The ending is predictable and uninspired.
