Bosch (2014)

angielski Pilot: Bosch is cool and so far the story is unwinding nicely. Lots of familiar actors are finally given a little more room. Characters written excellently. The story seems fine so far, easily comprehensible, I’m waiting to see how it starts to get more complicated. Annie Wersching is still a fox. After watching season 1: I must say this is an excellent series. Somewhere between The Wire and House M.D. and the closer it gets to the end, the better it gets. It’s addictive. Titus perfect, atmosphere heavy and doesn’t follow any fixed path. I started reading Connelly’s Trunk Music. Season 2 of Bosch is surer of itself and trips to Vegas offer a sumptuous environment full of casinos and hookers. By coincidence, Trunk Music, which served as the main source of inspiration for season two, was the first Connelly book I read and I liked its adaptation into serial form. It even improved on some weaker parts of the book. The views from Bosch’s house are luxury. Bait in the form of a new lead on the mother’s murderer made a great finale. So we don’t lose the sour taste of pessimism at the end. I look forward to season three. Season 3 slower and tighter. Apart from a couple of more powerful moments, it is unexciting. Apart from the last episode where Mr. Bosch is on his best form. The heated dialog with J. Edgar is the icing on the cake. ()

Season 2 (2016) (S02)

angielski Season 2 of Bosch is surer of itself and trips to Vegas offer a sumptuous environment full of casinos and hookers. By coincidence, Trunk Music, which served as the main source of inspiration for season two, was the first Connelly book I read and I liked its adaptation into serial form. Season 3 (2017) (S03)

angielski A slower and tighter series that, despite a few stronger moments, doesn't stand out. Except for the last episode, this is Bosch at his best. The dialogue with J. Edgar is the icing on the cake. ()

Season 4 (2018) (S04)

angielski A powerful season where we at last someone gets their comeuppance. This time, regular police work is spiced up with an excellent storyline about a family and their problems with the Chinese. Bosch continues to prove to be a more than solid alternative to The Wire. Titus is king. ()

Pył (2018) (S04E01)

angielski Another episode that grabs you and doesn’t let go. Titus has got Bosch down to a T and right at the start you can see the extreme objectivity that he uses when approaching this case involving a cop-hating lawyer. He has a bigger fish on his place and that fish wants to get to know him better. Quality. ()

Season 5 (2019) (S05)

angielski Another brilliant season with a story line involving a good detective digging up the past (at last Maddie is put to good use). The case prepping with Chandler is refreshing and the search for J. Edgar on Haiti was also pleasing. His new partner at LAPD looks interesting and keeps his cool even when faced with severed heads. Bosch’s final elimination of the bad guys was particularly well done this time. I hope Coltrane comes back. ()

Season 6 (2020) (S06)

angielski The way of the just... Bosch is on the trail of stolen cesium, Irv is running for office and J. Edgar is stepping on the heels of a Haitian mafioso. Powerful dialogs, emphasis on detail and the great Titus in the title role of police bulldog. The creators try very hard and at the end things get fraught, almost in 24 style, but personally I don’t mind a bit. I hope they squeeze all they can out of the final series. You better hope you serve all 11. Every minute of it. No matter how long or short it is, I'm gonna be there when you get out, waiting for you, you fսck! ()

Season 7 (2021) (S07)

angielski A big farewell party with all the trimmings. The investigation of a case of arson and the death of a little girl connected with it are the catalysts for Bosch’s rage at a game full of compromises. The fact that there are fewer episodes gives the series far greater pace. The Maddie storyline, consistently great, down to earth and captivating, with precise acting performances, is still the best thing in the whole series. Setting of the series right before the Covid bogyman raised his head was a nice move. I can’t wait for the next season. ()
