Paraíso

Carmen and Alfredo, childhood sweethearts since secondary school, live in Satelite, unaware of the pressures of fitting into a body-conscious society even though both are severely overweight. When Alfredo gets a work promotion and they are forced to move to Mexico City, she decides to change not only her body, but also that of her husband’s. As the pounds fly off for one of them, an inevitable distance develops between the two. (Morelia International Film Festival)
