La Chasse au Snark

Belgium's Snark boarding school strives to provide an education and care to students who have not been able to deal with regular school. These are teenagers with behavioural problems whose plight is often connected with a tough family background; divorce, poverty, domestic violence. The filmmakers had the unique opportunity to document events in the school over the course of a year, witnessing the tense daily situations and hard work of the patient educators and psychologists who try to use non-punitive forms of education but do not always succeed. An example is a young girl named Angèle. Will she get one more chance or will she be expelled? (One World)
