Nareul itji malayo

It drags on and on the entire time. You can stand it, but you don't really feel anything. But once everything comes to the surface, it manages to do something to the viewer, who finally gets lifted up by a rush of emotion and even finally starts to play around with the film a bit. But it doesn't end there; it then cools the viewer down again quite quickly, so that as the closing credits start to roll, you're not left with an emotional mix, but rather sort of a "meh". As with any Korean film, you like to look at it, the glitz is nice, but the content is rather unsatisfying. A weak 3 stars and I definitely won't watch it again. (04.01.2017)

A romance between Woo-seong Jeong and Ha-neul Kim may be an irresistible proposition, but the movie would have to be about something, too. And that's a bit of a problem here. It's not that it has no concept; I’m sure lots of other viewers besides me were wondering how it would actually unravel. And in my opinion, that part was very successful, there were definitely surprises. It's just that the way it dragged on beforehand is unforgivable. It would have needed more chemistry and a little more warmth in the romantic storyline. In this respect, I think the writer/director lacked sensibility. That's why it's an average film that probably won't impress too many viewers. (07.07.2019)

It's a fairly classic dramatic romance, where in the end, the drama outweighs the romance. There are surprisingly gritty scenes here, especially involving a child, but on the other hand, I don't feel like praising a film that doesn't offer much else. Visually pleasing, but not exceptional, nothing groundbreaking in terms of plot. (06.11.2016)
