In his third feature Angelopoulos embarked on a colossal journey through the history of Greece between 1939 and 1952 (covering the years of the Nazi occupation), following a group of itinerant actors who go from village to village always performing the same play. (Seville European Film Festival)

angielski It is very difficult to watch this film, but I must admit that even though the four-hour work initially scared me a lot, I have to acknowledge that it is a film that can captivate. It is a very unusual experience that shows Greece in a completely different way compared to how we perceive it - as a tourist destination. Strong, long scenes that you have to prepare for. ()
