Nagy Sándor, the chairman of an agricultural co-operative, looks back upon his life in this film, through a series of scenes occasionally played by actors. Between 1945 and the time of making the film Nagy Sándor has committed everything to be able to stay clean as a human being. He worked according to the best of his knowledge and talents for his local village, his co-operative and for the people. He recalls the pig-farm, his persecution because of the house he built for himself with his own efforts, but also of his awards.
