Szentesi Marianna makes a report about the pioneers at Zánka, but it cannot get broadcasted as it raises conflicts which cannot be solved in the present. She takes her children to Boldogkőváralja for the summer holidays to a wealthy family. The two children from Budapest thoroughly upset the life of the villagers. Jóska and Orsi fall in love. At the end of their holidays, their mother's greatest concern is whether the two young lovers have "only kissed". Jóska is a talented drawer, but he still has to continue his studies at a vocational school, where he becomes the laughing-stock of his companions.
