In their secluded woodland home, a medical researcher and his family are attacked by a trio of homicidal maniacs. Drunk on power, high on rage, these murderous psychopaths initiate a savage game of cat and mouse with the terrified family, torturing them both mentally and physically. Pushed to breaking point, forced into a corner, the scientist does the unthinkable to save his loved ones - he unleashes the experiments he keeps in the basement - re-animated corpses with a taste for blood! Suddenly the hunters become the prey, but will the creatures stop there, or has the man sentenced his family to a fate worse than death? Home invasion meets creature feature - Beautiful People is truly unique. From shocking blood-soaked carnage to depraved acts of sexual deviancy to terrifying monstrosities with a craving for human flesh, this film has so many unexpected twists and turns, you'll never know what's coming next... until it's too late! angielski What makes this film interesting is the way the viewer’s impression worsens with every minute. The opening sequence before the credits is a beautifully shot and effective introduction to a group of nasty, charismatic and merciless villains. The credits then awkwardly point to a twist that will happen 45 minutes later or so, but whatever. The first half is still a pretty decent home invasion exploitation flick, but then comes the twist and everything falls apart. It’s not only that all of a sudden the behaviour of the characters becomes utterly ridiculous, or that the sun is shining in the middle of the night, but the film also begins to feel surprisingly amateurish, not because of the make-up (which is quite good), but the overall quality of the craftsmanship. Honestly, I got the impression that the second half of the movie was made by someone else. ()
