Jackie, a troubled young woman struggling with addiction, is released from rehab and given a second chance with a new job and a furnished apartment at Havenhurst. I can't help but find Havenhurst kind of bland. Even though the lead actress tries and actually does well, it's ultimately just another horror movie about moving somewhere you shouldn't because there are things waiting for you that you don't want to experience. It's an overly hackneyed theme that's a bit undermined by how everything is explained, but the ending is actually not that bad.

Horror films where the heroes and villains fight each other between walls have been trending in recent years… and it’s beginning to lose its appeal. A bleached swole killer isn’t something we haven’t seen, either, so don’t expect any originality from Havenhusrt. But that’s not what slasher flicks are about, right? The direction of Andrew C. Erin (who only has uninteresting TV movies under his belt) is not particularly engaging, but he does manage to keep a relatively decent atmosphere of gloomy hotel corridors and the danger hidden behind the walls. Between two and three.
