Black Sun isn't that bad. It was just ground down by the early 1990s newbie dramaturgy, like a whole host of older films misrepresented on those weekday mornings. However, it was also the source of more than one affair, and over the years the dramaturgy changed. Nevertheless, Michèle's recollections reveal the film's difficult production. It was too hot in the Ouargla oasis, there were riots in the area, the airport was not functioning, there was a fire... The replacement housing was full of cockroaches and vipers, and the technology collapsed due to the heat. As a result, everything was finished in Jean Richard's sandy sea in Ermenonville. And although the actors gave professional performances and Michèle considered not returning to the franchise after three films about Angelique, she changed her mind after experiencing this extreme filming. It's a wonder that in the end, Black Sun is a thrilling action adventure with interesting exteriors, a very sexy Mercier, and an interesting point. (18.01.2012)
