The movie almost appears as if it wants to say something deeper, but actually it's just a rather boring variation of a medieval drama, which somewhat reminded me of the movie "Barbar" in terms of slow pace and efforts to convey something more than the story itself. It completely lacks gore and moments that would at least somewhat shock you.
