The episode was clearly designed to remind viewers of the previous plot and set the stage for what's to come. It's your typical introductory episode, reintroducing the characters and the storyline. Honestly, it wasn't bad at all.

The second season starts in quite the opposite direction of the first. That is, the antagonist of the main character (Rhoades) gets much more space than his stockbroker friend, and the situation around him doesn't turn out well at all.
