Llévate mis amores

Every day since 1995, a group of women stand at the tracks near the Mexican town of La Patrona. Calling themselves "Las Patronas", they wait for a freight train full of illegal Latin American immigrants to pass by. These desperate people are on a perilous journey in pursuit of the dream of a better life in the USA. "Mother, we are hungry!" they cry at the patronas, who throw them water bottles and packages of food they cooked themselves. They never miss a single train. This film by a young Mexican director shows the stories of these women who although poor themselves, understand the suffering of others. (One World)
