In Seoul 2015, a girl displays strange symptoms after a hit-and-run. Having gotten into trouble with the church due to frequent, unexpected behavior, Priest Kim has his own plans for saving the girl despite opposition and suspicion from everyone around him. To proceed with his plan, he needs another priest with the right credentials, and while most seem to avoid him, seminarian and deacon Choi is given the mission to help and spy on Kim. Eventually, they have only one day to save the girl, so Priest Kim and Deacon Choi perform a life-threatening ritual. (Busan International Film Festival)

angielski The fact that the movie didn't bring anything new to the exorcism genre doesn't bother me, I feel like it's so exhausted that for it to have something new in it, aliens would have to come to exorcise the devil out of the American president or something... Except that even though I quite like the subject matter, this movie bored me beyond belief. It was only the process of the exorcism itself that was interesting, I thought it was very well done. The subsequent action with the pig was not so good. And all the slow motion before that didn't appeal to me at all; the film lacked momentum. It had some atmosphere, but unfortunately it couldn't draw me in. If you like Gang Dong-won and exorcisms of all kinds, definitely check it out. A better 2 stars. ()

angielski Unfortunately, the Koreans have brought nothing new to the table in this case and are basically just looking at the classic exorcism theme in a way that is incredibly Christian. The Exorcist is definitely not going to be surpassed by this film, especially not when the afflicted person is spewing digital blood. It’s a bit of a disappointment, but the Koreans are skilled filmmakers, and it still shows in the film. ()
