The ballad comes to life in the mountains performed by an old singer: Beno Bárczi the son of the lord of Vajdahunyad castle is in love with the neighbor landowner's daughter Abigél Kund. The girl, however, only plays the boy's feelings. In the dark woods one day, pointed a dagger in the heart of the noble young man is found dead. The old Bárczi wants to make revenge, but he does not know who was the culprit. According to popular belief when the real killer appears the wounds bleed again. The father, therefore, invites all suspected persons. He calls the enemies of his killed son, then his friends come, then the people of mansion, and all the inhabitants of the village Bárczi, but they all prove to be innocent. Finally, the father calls the boy's beautiful lover, Abigélt Kund. When she is near the body the wound starts to bleed..
