Yo soy Mexicano de acá de este lado

Jorge leaves the University in order to party. A regular at the capital’s night spots, Jorge falls in love with a rumba dancer, Maria Elena. Worried about his son’s behavior, the successfull businessman Eugenio decides to kick Jorge out of the house to teach him a lesson. Due to economic necessity, Jorge convinces Maria Elena to pretend they are married so they can live in his uncle Roque’s house. The pair is able to trick Roque, but they are soon confronted with the suspicions of the other inhabitants. Freddie provokes problems between Maria Elena and Jorge; the differences that arise seem to be irreconcilable. Finally, Maria Elena leaves the house. This event causes Jorge to re-think his life, and he proceeds to make his own living in order to offer Maria Elena a stable future and make amends with his family.
